Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
joker 1 and 2 work together. i thought the sequel was a creative way to realize/conclude the first films events, although sort of random. joaquin originally envisioned a true “broadway” musical for this, so for them to settle and make it a film is somewhat disappointing as it would have HIT on stage. even still, there were some amazing moments: the costumes + score were incredible, and i felt something throughout. the climax “joker” courtroom performance was a real treat. ending was a little much but such is life. u wouldnt get it

had so much fun watching this. ive been following the production of this film so my expectations were quite high, and i actually think they were met. this man really ca$hed out to make his magnum opus—a weird avant garde film with boner jokes. i was thoroughly entertained 80% of the time. dont listen to the haters its not for them (sad). bonus points for 3 marcus aurelius quotes back to back. i really liked the casting and there were some awesome set pieces. i see the vision!!!
