Wouah the metaphor is soooo interesting. In this film I clearly see the colonists of America destroying a wonderful wilderness, full of life and ressources and a nation of people who live in harmony with their beautiful environment, just for the sake of capitalist values that don't lead no one nowhere.

A mesmerizing movie. The involvement of the father in the investigation to find his daughter is just breathtaking. The shooting is really good, the dark themes of the images mirroring the darkness of the story itself. The nearly autistic behavior of the police inspector(with his permanent winking) really adds something to the story, it's difficult to figure him out. There is a real moral and biblical dilemma around revenge and how far we can go(epitomized by the reluctance of Hugh Jackman's friend to torture the weird boy). In the end religious and moral duality is kinda everywhere in this film. A masterpiece❤️‍🔥👌🏾
