Sadly disappointed after seeing this as I was really looking forward to it. The production design & cinematography were spectacular. However I found the story disjointed & hard to follow, especially regarding characters besides Josephine & Napoleon, which made watching it border on tedious.

Pros- modern reference/view shown incorporating the history of movies, which I found fascinating not being knowledgeable on the transitions from silent to talkies. Fantastic performances, scenery & costumes totally on mark.
