  an evocative and heartfelt trans allegory — not that i could ever understand, but it's through things like this that i can try. notwithstanding that, there's a lot else to cling to: (queer) friendship and community, the feeling of being trapped in your own life, living (for better or for worse) through art. iris afterwards mentioned all the colour symbolism i didn't even pick up on and talked abt her appreciation for the film's ambivalent/bleak ending. rly glad i got…
