Babylon 2022
I could imagine people being disappointed in this film if they watched the trailer and wanted the booze and glitz that it provided, and that alone. I liked this film, very hard to summarise but found it to be an open commentary meets love letter to (old/golden) age of Hollywood. I saw it with my cousin and he confessed it was the sort of film he could see once and never again. I’m not sure I agree, but I did find it interesting the marketing they went for despite the contents of the film. Either way, I’m a little disappointed to hear it’s flopping.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent 2022
I’m sorry but this film had no right to be this good. It was so, so fucking stupid… but so clever and brilliant all at once. I eat films up that know what they are, self-reflexive without blurring too much into narcissism - the title does suggest otherwise though. Watched it with my nearest and dearest and loved every second of it - Nicky C, the man, the myth, the legend. No choice but to stan. Pedro Pascal too?!
