The Hunt 2012
Beautiful, heart-wrenching film. It made me cry and want to puke at the same time.
However, in a world where abusers walk freely amongst us and cases such as these are rarely taken seriously and mishandled, I question the necessity for such a movie.
Just from other people's reviews, claiming to hate children after this, claiming they wish to punch that little girl in the face, it shows me just how damning this movie is.

gorgeous, magnificent, can't believe i didn't know it existed. it's one of those films that you know you'll remember for a long time. wish i could go back to being a kid so i could watch it and see a trans guy just existing. as they say, this movie says a lot about society blah blah. its good to see real life issues being recognised and applied to fantasy. makes it all the more real.

a friend got me to watch this movie with her cuz she got it recommended on tiktok and told me we would cry a lot watching it.
well she was right, goddamn.
such a beautiful film, filled with intense and real moments and such raw and true connection, it made me reminisce about all the ugly memories of school that most of us don't ever wish to remember.
worth the tears, after ugly crying for a bit i smeared my tears all over my face and now i feel very moisturised.
deserved an oscar imo, and so much more, wowie.

Went into the theatre not knowing a thing about neither the film or who directed it.
5 minutes in i could tell it was a guillermo del toro movie. The way he portrays pathetic male characters is my favourite thing in the world, the cinematography and storytelling had me by the throat, and the acting was incredible.
