I think this film is much more focused on how chance can change your whole life, for none of the characters are ex-cons or mobsters, or professional killers, or dog-fighting managers, ... The thing is the three storys are 'normal' people (depending on the normality you live in), but the thing is none of them are villains or bloodthirsty killers, they're just normal people with very bad luck who were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Photography and camera movements are as good as the other two and the aesthetic follows the same pattern.
And preformances are, as always, great.

What a movie, much greater profundity than Amores Perros, same kind of movie, only it takes you away from the criminal life characters with much simpler and uninterseting lifes that change after the main incident of the whole film, which was really confusing at the begining but so well put and correlated, great narrative and storytelling.
Acting was great but I'm not the greatest fan of this naturalistic kind of cinema, a though this kind of directing worked really well on the film, with all the moving hand held shots and the closeups, and that bright white color the whole film has.

To be honest I loved the the story and the characters involved, despite some weird actions, but somehow things weren't fluid enough, camera movements during conversation were shit as so was the acting, I liked it cos it's almodóvar, and it can't be bad, but there were lots of things really badly done.
