Really enjoyable film, filled with familiar characters and stories but with less traditional protagonists.
Beautifully shot, especially in some of the dream like / other worldly hallucination sequences. Also the opening shot in the chasm.
The 80s done very authentically (small wrist tattoos are the only slight glitch), but the costume, attitudes and vibes are all very 1989.
Worth a whole star for Ed Harris' hair.
Alex Garland does make a great film and this is one of his best, excusing my recency bias.
Gripping fast paced narrative in a 'near future' that feels worryingly close at times.
Fantastic performances all round, especially the cameo by Jessie plemmons. Brilliant soundtrack too. Highly recommend
I liked it a lot. Aubrey P is brilliant as ever and totally believable.
The relationships and power dynamic between the characters breaks some stereotypes and it's hard to predict.
Tense scenes and pace are superbly done. A bit like uncut gems but not as full on and relentless.

Very good fun this film. It's got the vibe of a 1960s western TV series but it's made with much higher production standards and better acting.
The characters are all a bit of a cliché but that's fun in itself.
The baddies are like pantomime baddies and the confused religious chap is deeply remorseful and conflicted. Like buttons in a pantomime.
Also the colours, lighting and cinematography are brilliant and add to the style and atmosphere of the whole thing
