Honestly, I had such high hopes for this film. The concept felt fresh and novel to me—until the end. There's no easy way to say it, but the ending was such a departure from what I expected. The film built up emotions and shifted who you were rooting for throughout, which was cleverly done. However, the plot twist felt like a third party came in and said, "You know what would be cool?" It ended up tainting the entire film.…

Woman of the Hour 2023
"Woman of the Hour," directed by Anna Kendrick, offers a compelling exploration of Rodney Alcala, the notorious serial killer from the 1978 episode of The Dating Game. While the film features strong writing and well-executed scenes, the transitions between the current narrative and the murder sequences could have been smoother. Overall, it's a solid directorial debut, but some editing choices left me wanting more cohesion.

Disturbia 2007
Seen this movie quite a few times. I think the killer played by David Morse did a great job and having a stoic approach to the role and explosive anger when it called for it. Shia played a solid role once the grieving passed. While we knew how this would end even before watching the film and there weren't many twists and turns to keep you guessing, the movie flowed and added enough comic relief to keep you entertained.

Paid in Full 2002
I don't care that it didnt follow the exact real-life storyline exactly as I think it is still traumatizing for those who lived it, but it's a spectacular film that embodies the era; down to the "b" after every sentence. The only criticism, I would have is that there were many characters that could have spun their own movie from this movie. I heard a rumor of Paid in Full 2 though. Let's see how that goes.
