The Godfather Part II 1974
To me, this second part managed the exploit to do better than the first one. I found Robert De Niro absolutely amazing as young Vito Corleone, as he nailed an incredible impersonation of Marlon Brando through the role of Don Vito. The choice of developing two simultaneous stories in this movie was great.

Raging Bull 1980
This movie is one of the best biopic ever made. De Niro playing Jake La Motta took place in that role like nobody else would’ve done it. The claustrophobic plans, the black and white colors gave something special to this work. The way they transcribed emotions through the movie kept me on the wire.

This absolute masterpiece just made his way to my top. From the plans, through the soundtrack, to the cast, I think this is my perfect vision of cinema. And the fact that it’s a movie from the 70s is mind blowing to me. I can’t wait to dive into the second act.
