American History X 1998
So fucking relevant!!! We have the same issues decades later… except now instead of being only associated with fascists, the scapegoating of American immigrants is as prevalent as ever and constantly being perpetuated by conservatives, centrists, and many liberals too. I do question how possible/realistic it is to reform the ideals of a gruesome killer who readily identifies as a white supremacist, but I can admit that this film does a good job of humanizing fascists and gets its points across very well.
