A master-class in acting from Pacino, Pesci, and Keitel. De Niro fantastic as always, he under-plays roles in a really convincing way. Scorsese really benefits from the 3.5 hours, although at times (largely times without Pacino) it does drag. The last 30 minutes feel like an epilogue and eulogy to Scorsese's mafia movie career.
