  The first movie I watch in more than 2 months and the first movie in the cinema in god knows how long and it’s a Christopher Nolan Movie. Just being in the cinema with the IMAX screen and the sound reverberating through my body.

  I’d love to say anything about the movie, but I’m not really sure what I just watched. I thought I’d figured it out at some point in the movie but I lost it almost immediately. But…

  “Always eat well after coming back from a police station” Damn good advice.

  
  I’m not really sure how to review this film if I’m being honest. A disturbing, and heartwarming study of the lengths a mother will go to for her children. It’s riveting through the first hour and towards the end but drags slightly through the middle.

  I think the fanfare around this movie built up really high expectations for me and it didn’t deliver. Most of it was just fine except the last half hour which I thought was engrossing but I was just left wanting more. Joaquin Phoenix is phenomenal as always.
