This film NEEDS a Big Fat TRIGGER WARNING
I am dead tired of men making victim woman plots. Using rape and sexually charged violence against women in film is OVERRATED AND OVERDONE. ESPECIALLY when men do it.
The most interesting part of this film was the way it was shot.
The script sucks.

The plot creates a legendary metaphor for masculine love. Featuring an innocent long time bromance and a fast, hard fall for a tough, respectable, independent, working woman.
Complete with fabulous practical effects, the body horror is off the charts. The metamorphosis of the werewolf is painfully slow and grotesque.

Great practical effects. Dialogue that will make you cringe and laugh. Unnecessary plot points you couldn’t possibly predict. A soundtrack primarily made up of the 90s indie/alt rock sister duo Kim and Kelley Deal. Yet, it’s one of the most solid early 2000s horror comedies out there. Maybe it’s the duality of the main character: someone who suffers from the human condition in such a relatable way resorting to something so inhumane. The ending is obvious halfway through the movie, but it’s perfectly executed. Angela Bettis kills the role and Anna Faris is a lesbian. Please watch this cinematic masterpiece.
