  Aubrey Plaza Hallmark movie ... They should remove the "my old" part from the title. Even if u interpret it as her talking to her younger self versus how it's presented, it's still a painful watch.

  Slight torn on this one bc the acting and cinematography is top notch... it's genuinely funny and classically Iranian. It wins its portrayal of youth in an oppressive regime. But as u stagger out in typical Persian film fashion, the result feels empty, hollow. The last act felt like a hardcore lesson/reprimand in Haram rather than something artistic or poetic, but maybe they had write it this way to not get banned by the IR.
