Promising Young Woman 2020

i got roped into watching this in theaters with a friend. it’s one of those films where you enjoy it while watching it, but pick it apart afterwards and realize it wasn’t all that great. i love emerald fennell, carey mulligan, bo burnham, and everyone behind this film, but it felt cheesy and lackluster. also, i thought the premise was that she was killing these men? but i guess she’s just, like, showing them a lesson or something? the ending felt unsatisfying and i don’t think i would watch this film again :-/
