This is one of the few movies that I will actively think to myself "Yeah, I think it's time to rewatch Whisper of the Heart" every year or so, another being It's a Wonderful Life.

This movie is an absolute mess plot and general script wise, but it is so unashamedly ambitious with it's genuine intent to create spectacle that it's almost impossible to fault it for that. This thing is absolutely full of creative setpieces/shots and the Maelstrom battle is genuinely one of the best climaxes in action film history. So glad they decided to end the Pirates series with this one, what a good trilogy!
