Maybe I'm an NPC but the plot was absolutely enthralling. I was glued to the screen basically the whole time, which didn't get tiring because the art is absolutely gorgeous as well.

I've seen this three or four times, and I still feel almost unqualified to review this in depth. If I had to nitpick, I would say it doesn't absolutely stretch the medium for all its worth. Certainly there are very good bits of film-making, but I'm not convinced this story is necessarily best told through the medium of film. I would also point out that some very specific points have exaggerated movement and reactions that took me out of it to some extent. Otherwise essentially flawless.
