been on a huge south korean history rabbit hole with everything happening recently (e.g. impeachments, martial law) + reading this year's nobel prize winner Han Kang's novels, this movie unexpectedly became the cherry on top of it all

the story of man and how his country shaped him to ultimately lead him to his death. I usually have such low tolerance for despicable characters like him, but through my recent unravelling of SK's tragic history and its impact on the nation’s psyche, I found myself feeling both empathy and heartbreak for him
