    The same things preventing me from fully being onboard (train pun) with this movie are what make it funny and likeable; LA bro (Brad Pitt) fumbles through a complex scheme of different targets and missions all on one train, somehow surviving in the silliest fashion possible. The movie places this in the foreground of the scenic Japanese countryside and luxurious train network. I feel that there isn’t enough Japan in the narrative or performances. However, that is largely the point. It’s Hollywood, not Japanese film.

    In the beginning of the film I was disappointed with the level of detail given to Sowell’s early life. This documentary often repeated parts of his narrative. I also think that if it investigated more of his theories like social capital and intelligent late-talking children earlier on the documentary would’ve had the potential to uncover a more significant amount of his ideas.

    I am generalizing: the social consequences of the welfare state and a few others were mentioned as well.…
