  I feel like a lot of people rating this have never been around addicts or poverty, saying its trauma porn and how its just a nepo baby cosplaying poverty. Thats what movies are, actors portraying things. Growing up around substances and seeing familys like this, this movie genuinely did a good job showcasing struggles for people below middle class especially women struggling to find jobs and dealing with addiction. The character progression through the show was amazing to see. I think this was a great movie and did a great job showing peoples real struggles with addiction, abuse, assult, finding yourself and the struggles of life

  I feel like making them college students would have made this film less taboo and uncomfortable  to watch, she didn't truly have to be a highschool student. Or even a actual student, could have been some sort of teacher for dance or an instrument. I feel as though they did a lot of “fan service”(fans being jenna Ortega fans who are old men), the movie itself was poetic and tastefully done (other than her being a child). The videography was beautiful and the scenes gave off the right tone for the setting. Other than that 3/10 uncomfortable watch but beautiful movie
