Good Will Hunting 1997
heard someone say this film is "pseudo-intellectual" and wanted to scream at them that THIS FILM HAS A HEART, cheesy i know. So enamoured by the conversations that take place between Will and Sean, i could smile and laugh and get emotional. It is so rare to re-watch a film and it still hitting you in the exact same brain parts it did before, not the nostalgic one that most rewatches scratch. Love it to the core.

You sit down to watch this film and from the getgo you are on your seat drawing theories as to what might happen. the subtlety of the well hidden darkness, the stark tension between the two leads from the minute their eyes set upon each other and the glow of the christmas lights illuminating it all. The last 15 minutes are perhaps the best like the crescendo of the piece maria plays in her apartment. Raghavan makes this film feel vulnerable and i loved it all !!

This has almost everything i love. The best part being homoerotic friendship that is doomed to fall apart from the start. the pulsating friction in the scenes, the thumping techno beats in the match, the yearning in the boys' eyes coupled with jealousy, you can just simply sit and stare and gobble it all up because its fucking delicious.
