sound design for orlock's feeding: -1000/10 listening experience, elicited such a visceral near-gagging revulsion in me that confirmed all suspicions that i could have never survived a theatrical watch w/o warning, i will never be a real horror enthusiast, etc etc.

midnight screening synced to radiohead! v silly and would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that discussion-- the colored accent filters were distracting imho. am struck by how vampirism takes on a sickly form in this adaption (made for iconic spindly silhouettes and shadow casting effects; the set design is a standout), and nosferatu is repeatedly invoked as vermin/mosquito/rat. social contagion aesthetics in interwar germany etc etc-- much 2 consider. ty laura and other friends on my phone who told me to go watch this on the big screens instead of holing up in my apartment. :-)
