  The Langoliers 1995

  Really into it in the 1st hour, got sceptical in the 2nd, totally zapped out in the 3rd one.
  Fun theme and mystery. But way too long for the whole plot development. 
  Those old school CGI were so unexpected and felt like way too much. Would have been nicer if made with puppets on green screen puppets and miniature sets.
  P.s. Spoiler
  Killing the only black character of the film... so uncessary and could have just been replaced by killing that random 1st class old man who just want to eat all the time.

  Felt like a Pixar a bit more for grown up. Nice theme. Got to watch it again. A lot of details and more inputs to absorb.
  Cool human designs too.

  Good theme, although for a 2h30 long film there was too much stuff that didn’t engage me in the story. The historical and philosophical aspects of the film were nice. But a lot of the storyline development felt either unnecessarily or too simple. For such a special film concept like this, a lot of it wasn’t surprising. It feels like a missed opportunity to create a exceptional adventure along the strong reflexion it wants to bring.
  By the way, why not having young actors to play the main character in their flashback? This was so weird.

  I can’t argue that it had a blockbuster entertainment vibe and beautiful pictures so that’s where the 1.5 ⭐️ are going. But to be honest, considering this is the film rapping the new star wars trilogy people where waiting for since 15 years, the rating should be even lower.
  The film on it’s own had way too much back and forth on quest that felt like a mix of random ideas. And also way too much unexplained concepts and backstories…
