The Monkey 2025
Could have been really good- pacing was weird, too many random gags made the tone inconsistent. Didn’t care about the son or the other set of brothers. I get it’s an allegory for familial trauma, specifically from a father onto his son(s). But it was too messy to enjoy as much as I wanted. Also?? STOP TURNING THE KEY MAYBE?!

I laughed. I cried. I rented it for $20 to watch it again. And if it wasn’t available with my Peacock subscription, I’d do it again. Took the original musical and improved on it. Only weak point for me was Fanny and what’s her name. Maybe unpopular opinions: They were flops.
