I have to stop feeling guilty.
It’s okay for me to be happy.

The Return of the King. Bong Joon-ho’s much anticipated follow-up to Parasite is an ingenious, zany, satirical romp of a film that is surely best enjoyed in theaters.

First off, Robert Pattinson is fantastic. It’s more than just his voice-work. He has a physicality in his performance that is hard to emulate. The mannerisms and body language he displays perfectly compliment the characters and emotions he is trying to portray.…

It was alright (I have seen God tonight in this theater. Hans Zimmer blessed my ears. Greig Fraser blessed my eyes. Denis Villeneuve blessed my soul. There is not a single wasted moment throughout this entire film. The entire cast was phenomenal, but there is no doubt that this is Timothée Chalamet’s movie. He is the closest thing this generation has to a movie star right now. The visual effects are other worldly. The production design and sound design enhanced the…

Still a goofy ass franchise, but no doubt fun to watch.

    Some scattered thoughts:
-so funny when Jacob kept hitting that little smirk 😏
    -Bella horny AF
-really weird that Jasper is a Confederate
-I thought the recasting of Victoria was unnecessary, but I like Bryce Dallas Howard, so no big complaint there
-Dakota Fanning’s character is so cool
-the graduation stuff was brushed by too quickly for my liking
    -Rosalie’s backstory is so tragic
-not as good as I remember, but still in the top 3

    Are you carrying the fire?

Bleak. A very slow burn that manages to be engaging the entire time despite being so starkly different from most of the post-apocalyptic films out there. That’s actually what makes the movie so successful.

I think the film displays a fairly accurate picture of how things would go if the world underwent the cataclysmic events depicted here. It’s gritty. It’s raw. It’s depressing. Yet there is always this tinge of hope and longing to survive. …

I will preface this review by saying that I’ve been a bigger fan of the Russo Brothers than most people on this site. My support has mostly been related to their work in the MCU, but I’d say I also like The Gray Man more than a lot of people.

Knowing my bias towards the Russo Brothers, believe me when I say that this movie is a soulless piece of dog shit. Do not waste your time watching it.
