  This was a great experience seeing this on a big screen but it’s a shame I didn’t like the story as much on rewatch. The visuals are insane, the soundtrack is brilliant and the world is so unique. However, I didn’t feel like I connected with the characters much. 

  I think I’d like some of the other Ghibli’s a lot more (Howl’s moving castle, princess mononoke, etc)

  Wow I love this film. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, the camera work and colours make it feel authentic and it’s a very aesthetically pleasing film. You can truly see Greta’s passion for filmmaking come to life through this brilliant directorial debut. The dynamic between Laurie Metcalf’s character and Saorise’s was brilliant, interesting, upsetting but also a joy to watch at times. There are so many great lines from this film. The characters are flawed, which I like seeing in coming-of-age…

  This might be the most beautifully shot film I have ever seen. Idk. Every shot was crafted so meticulously, giving the warm feeling of a painting. I can’t stress enough how visually stunning this film every shot was just unreal. 

  This film feels gave me an uneasy feeling about the future of technology because things like this could and probably will happen eventually. Super intelligent AI’s evolving and progressing at a scary rate and just out running humans altogether.
