Pretty decent movie with a lot of soul behind it. They did get some details about Tolkien's life wrong but there's no sin in taking some creative liberty.
My biggest qualm is the choice of leaving religion out of this movie, as religion greatly defined Tolkien and it was ignored here.
Watched today and I thought it was done pretty well. Sound of Freedom has a pretty depressing, heavy message and it was able to convey the message without crossing any lines. The acting was decent enough but it wasn't an "action" movie as many people thought it would be - and it didn't need to be.
Funny how there's so much negativity because it was produced by a religious company, with religious actors, and with religious undertones.
