What a movie. Every scene is so iconic. This movie made me just sit down and stare into space afterward. I can’t believe it took my 19 years of my life to watch this masterpiece.

Ehhh. The budget on this movie must have been huge. The scriptwriting budget was probably 5 dollars venmoed to an incel fanfic writer. The plot feels like a complete ripoff of the first movie. The acting is solid but it doesn’t all feel in theme with Ancient Rome. The jokes are modern and seem so out of place which takes the film completely out of the era. The plot takes a long time to develop but sets up a surprisingly compelling final battle. Watching the movie was like eating a sandwich and continually hoping that the next bite will taste better. Spoiler: it won’t.
