Nosferatu 2024
Masterfully dreadful. I’m not a gore fan but I can appreciate what this movie did. The storyline, control of sound, and sheer shock factor had me cringing at the edge of my seat. This movie will haunt me, and I will not watch it again. But I recognize the quality behind it.

Wow. What a movie! Full disclosure, I’m a sensitive human being. I cried when Elpheba was dancing alone. Damn that was rough. But it speaks to how the movie pulls you into the moments and magic it creates.
The power behind the singers was incredible! Though imo Michelle Yeoh didn’t have a strong singing performance, here acting presence was incredible. I loved the acting overall as well.

The Greatest Showman 2017
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, especially the soundtrack. Very inspiring! I didn’t like the way they wrote zendayas character; she felt one dimensional. It felt like the resolution between Barnum and the circus team was also shoehorned, and knowing the history behind the movie didn’t help. But it surely was a spectacle, and a hoot to watch.

My first review!
This was an entertaining watch. I liked the chase of the movie, and back and forth between the dandridges and the dudes. It’s a bit one dimensional, but is a classic black rom com.
My main critique is the fellas. Why were they so dumb? It feels like emotional intelligence in the early 2000s was seen as a superpower. Nevertheless, I appreciated the movie for what it was. “Embezzling the booty” is my favorite line from the flick hands down.
