Silence 2016
A visceral, intimate, unforgiving religious epic which explores themes of spirituality, suffering, and loss in such a layered way. Undeniably a visual spectacle, maybe one of the best looking films of the last decade. This is incredibly difficult to compare to other Scorsese films, as it doesn't fit the beloved Scorsese style. I can't say I really love religious films or connect with them in any way, but I was quite entranced by Martin Scorsese's Silence. Definitely not my favourite of Marty's work, but I feel like this should be talked about more. Great film.

Another Round 2020
This was on my watchlist for so long, and I wish I watched it way sooner. A brilliant representation of alcoholism, with a strong message behind it. Even with the darker turns the film takes at times, it never forgets its true purpose as a celebration of life. This film is an emotional marvel, it's very meaningful and certainly very impactful. Loved this film to bits.

A Complete Unknown 2024
Really surprised at how good this was. One of the better biopics of the last few years. Chalamet and Norton’s performances are superb and I really loved the direction. Great stuff.
