This is an enjoyable yet odd first outing for Anthony Mackie’s Captain America. On the one hand, the various connections that tie back to the Incredible Hulk (2008) are fun to see. I particularly like how they use events that occurred in that movie to impact Thunderbolt Ross’s character here and how he is looking for redemption for his past actions and behaviour. On the other hand, Sam Wilson has no connections to anything that happened in Incredible Hulk or…

One of Them Days 2025
I thought this looked terrible from the trailers… but its actually pretty decent.
I liked the two lead actresses and their chemistry, the plot felt like a throwback to a comedy from the ‘90s and there were some gags and bits that are funny in a memorable way. The third act feels like it tacks on a little more than needed but for 90 minutes I was thoroughly entertained. Solid recommend.

Wonka 2023
This movie was smile-inducing to me. Paul King brought so much charm, energy, and charism to the screen. Timothée Chamalet was fantastic, the villains were extremely over the top but I found them to be entertaining as well. Hugh Grant stole the show with his limited screen time and the musical sequences were a lot of fun! Not my favourite of the year by any means, but I found it incredibly delightful and I had a great time with it.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024
What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more! FULL REVIEW: youtu.be/2gcDGc_n8Ls?si=9Q_mzz119vCIjvs1
