So many notes: first, I feel accomplished just for making it through this film as an adult, it only took me and Annie two attempts, steeling ourselves for the nonsensical and drawn out moments; the scenes which dragged on without the presence of our main cast really grated on me. Lovely direction and acting, the art design and cinematography really stood out. Reminded me of the director’s other films and even the likes of Pushing Daises. The conclusion was good but I really expected something weirder with the way tension kept building throughout the film
