The Boy and the Heron 2023
Studio Ghibli never disappoints me, and never gives me what I’m expecting. I was in love with the characters, the heron especially. He took more of a back seat than I was expecting at some points which I didn’t mind. The ending was satisfying and packed a punch.

Everything you could ask for in a movie. Stunning visuals and an incredible score spread throughout the entire runtime time. Riveting story and unquestionable excellence from all the cast. This movie takes your attention, and needs all of it as it does not hold your hand to guide you through the world building and overarching plot.
