  You can tell they filmed more than they could squeeze into their allotted run time, because some of the narrative progression and cuts is a little jarring, but this a surprisingly fun action movie. Most of the “surprises” are easily predictable, but I’ll give them credit that one of them really got me.

  If you’re on a beach vacation, you must:

  1. Watch this movie
  2. Come to believe surf boarding is easy and rent a surfboard without lessons
  3. Spend hours trying to truly catch a wave. Succeed once or twice.
  4. Watch this movie again and take detailed notes as if it is the holy grail of surf instruction.
  5. remember to have fun

  Love some good walk and talks. This movie kept the energy going from top to bottom. 

  If you don’t like SNL or have interest in it, you may find this one a little shallow, but I enjoyed the ride. 

  And props for somehow making me feel sympathy for Chevy Chase.
