Good movie. Kind of reminds me of Knives Out with the dinner scenes and the investigation. I think my favorite part is the twist that his wife was being set up. The trailer really made it seem as if this was going to be a wife versus husband battle, but I'm glad they did not do this. The "detective" work by Fassbender is incredible. Like a methodical robot who is very competent.

This movie was a bit of a drag. It wasn't funny enough to be a comedy but wasn't interesting enough to be a drama. I enjoyed the scenes with the different Mickey's and their personalities, but this got sidelined for other boring plots later in the movie.
Side note on Mark ruffalos character; I hate this growing trend of characters who are caricatures, not people. Take every bad stereotype about a person and throw it in my face. Characters like…
Enjoyed how eerie this movie is and the build up of tension, especially on the trip to the castle. Also liked the mystery of figuring out what this vampire is and what is going on with this girl. William Defaoe was a delight. Lily Depp Rose also did a fantastic job in this movie.
Only things I didn't enjoy were the unsatisfying ending and the insane amount of sex (or sexual feelings) involved in this story - I get that vampire stories historically are intertwined with sex but my God bro was fucking everybody and it really took the horror aspect away for me.
Obviously an outdated film so the effects/animation were pretty terrible. However, my biggest gripe is that the movie is too heavyhanded on the message. The kids are stereotyped to a point where it is not realistic, and it makes the movie rather cheesy. Other gripes include the lack of any redeemable characters in this movie - wanka is wacky, all the parents are out for gain, and all the kids are stereotypical caricatures (except for the main character who by…
