ouch. losing someone to addiction is fucking painful. this broke me.
The relaxed pace of this film really works with the representation of depression. Many moments feel like you're waiting for something bigger to happen, a build up that isn't there. It gives an overall melancholy feeling despite so many happy moments Calum spends with his daughter, showing that depression is not easily masked. Sophie pulling together the memories she has of her father to fully understand his mental state was shown beautifully. I think this film will be on my mind for a while.
