The way this film unfolds is insanely good. Disturbing, creepy, horrifying screenplay magic. Each scene, each moment, reveals more key information in the ‘story’ of Gracie and Joe or deepens the themes of the commodification and exploitation of these such ‘stories’, but never feels rushed. There are so many double meanings to half the lines in here which punch you in the gut when you’re not expecting it.
