Stunning visuals, great performances, albeit; a little long. Although I found the characters in Hereditary easier to connect to, Midsommar's pacing made the horror aspects that much more painful to watch. I don't know which one I prefer, tbh. Both of these movies made me feel on edge for completely different reasons.
For Hereditary, it was due to the family. Midsommar, it was the environment.
Also screw Christian.
It was a stunning film, regardless and I'm definitely learning to appreciate the genre.
