Wow, what a Kurosawa filmography experience! The Hidden Fortress was my last chosen Kurosawa film to watch. I started watching his directed films in his collaboration with Mifune. So, I thought of ending it with them together working on one screen (at least on my own outlook) to make it extra special.

It was a light-fun film but will still make you feel this feverish anticipation upon watching. The cinematography was pristine and exemplary. Though this was the last, and seems like a breakup to me. I am pretty sure I’m going to rewatch Kurosawa’s work. To you Mifune, thank you so much.

Ecce homo. “Behold the man.” This man bears a cross called cancer. He’s Christ.

I rarely contemplate about life and when I did, it’s chaotic. Life is short. Fall in love, Dear Maiden. A perfect rhythm swaying with this remarkable art—brought to life by Takashi Shimura. You could see yourself as the protagonist—that’s how good everything about the film was. Oh, what will you expect when Mr. Akira Kurosawa is the name?
