Northanger Abbey 2007
A tough one to rate. The story is delightful, as usual with Austen's. Mr Tilney is a rare breed - a period drama hero who is actually kind, mature and lighthearted, acted with charm by JJ Field.

Apparently I'm in the minority here, but damn that felt pretentious and quite empty.
I usually am a sucker for bizarre movies that turn into gigantic psychological mindfucks, but that one wasn't grounded on anything else than the very simple, very much already done over and over concept of "I am a teenage boy and I don't know what to do with my desires/hate for women/myself".
