Straw Dogs 1971
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Uncomfortable but once it marinated a bit it does cook. The editing steadily getting more chaotic during the church scene and the tension during the climax in the house were standouts for me. The fact that David remains ignorant to the violence that had already occured in his house and the actions of the man he was protecting does a really great job at reflecting the immense blindspots even the most (seemingly) mild mannered of men have to their misogyny.
Blindspots is underselling it but you get what I mean.
