the way certain individuals interact with media in general can be frightening and this issue has only gotten worse as society advances. not to ultra date myself or sound super boomer-ish, but this movie could be remade and modernized with the way people interact with media these days with instagram likes or tiktok interactions and it would still hold up.

every time i go to watch this one again i get anxious it will lose it's magic and it never does
whenever i do rewatch this movie, i find something new and beautiful in it every time. the romanticization of childhood is something i relate to very heavily in this, and it tears me up every damn time.
every person in this is just portrayed really well and human like. the mannerisms and ways people behave in this movie feel very authentic and real.
i always love everything about this and i don't ever see that changing.

I think this film kinda required a second viewing for me.
I didn't fully understand the scope of the relationship shared between the main roles, but have understood now the strange chemistry shared between them and how it keeps him honest and grounded when he goes too far.
