the opening and the closing scenes: mesmerising.
Madison is absurdly magnetic and the subtle changes in her eyes and in her voice through the first and second half of the movie or her talk with Vanya before getting on the plane are solid work.
Borisov reminded me what a supporting actor does, and he does it well - the deadpan comedic effect of his first lines, his silent presence afterwards.
maybe not the best picture, but a meaningful winner overall
