Following 7 different assassins, Bullet Train takes place on a high speed train in Japan, where Ladybug (Brad Pitt) unknowingly steps into a hot mess with rivalries,…
Dreamworks is best known for Shrek and How To Train Your Dragon, so to see a new movie from them was a very exciting prospect. Typical bad guys gone good plot, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the phenomenal blend of 3D and 2D animation. Hilarious performances by the entire cast is a cherry on top, despite the less original plot.
I have no issues with Scarlett as an actress, but pretty subpar effects and mediocre writing across the board lets down her good performance. Florence Pugh is for sure a highlight, bringing some solid comedic timing. While this movie is better than nothing for BW, it was clearly hurt by a pandemic production. A real shame.
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy are some of my favorite comicbook movies, so to hear he got another shot at Marvel made me very happy. While I don't think this movie is perfect, it breathes some life into a honestly dying MCU lineup, and with solid visuals and great performances, Raimi's take on Strange is certainly a welcome return for the legendary director.
