Nosferatu 2024
I was very much looking forward to this film, having always enjoyed Robert Eggers work. It definitely did not disappoint! I felt that the performances were extremely compelling without being hysterical- the physicality of the actors presence was gripping and intense from the start. The chilling blue/grey light was an element that I loved throughout. I know it was shot on 35mm and having seen The Lighthouse on 35mm in the cinema, I wish we had gone to see this in 35 also. But either way, it was still a great cinematic experience! This film was unique and probably my favourite of Eggers to date.
