I've watched Hokuriku Proxy War because it was shot entirely in Hokkaido and looked like a very snowy movie. Utterly worthless bullshit shot in a basement. Some performances are decent but these actors are failed by a very bad script that's unsalvageable if you don't know the story of the games, and outright offensive if you do know the story. Attempt to speedrun 3 games in the series and each one has cutscenes that beat this entire series cinematically is embarrassing. The only thing that kind of worked is expansion on Nishikiyama's sister and how seamlessly it was interwoven into conflict between Kiryu and Nishikiyama, the rest is so laughably pathetic it's not even worth talking about.
