    Thank you Sungwon Cho for recommending so many obscure anime, I’d be half the woman I am without you

    Little Jumbo is fun, but does not hit nearly as hard as Ringing Bell. It struggles with tone quite a bit, and as a result the darker moments felt kind of off. It’s interesting to see a film presumably made for children addressing nuclear warfare though, and I appreciate the creativity and animation.

    When this was announced, I had very low expectations. It seemed like it was going to be a retread of the wrong trousers made solely to keep the IP alive. Luckily though, I found myself grinning and rocking my knuckles the entire runtime.

    Vengeance Most Fowl shakes things up by being the first satirical entry to the series, providing a surprisingly relevant commentary on AI and smart technology. I wouldn't expect Wallace and Gromit to tackle any topical issues, but…

    Nosferatu was so much fun. I feel like it’s been a while since I saw a modern horror movie that didn’t make me feel anxious and bad. Super spooky, and I even jumped a few times. Performances in this were all very theatrical, which took a little to get used to, but worked really well for what this is. Some elements didn’t quite come together, but there were so many high points that it didn’t matter. Needed more rats
