It’s kind of wild not to have liked this film because it is a clear inspiration to some of my favourite films but, for some reason, despite having everything I enjoy and admire, the plot and character didn’t captivate me. Maybe I’ll feel different if I ever end up watching it again but sadly, for now, this made me feel very little.

Volver 2006
I knew this was good, but why did no one tell me how good it actually is? Volver has a unique charm embedded in community and womenhood, incredibly refreshing and captivating to watch. Besides, the plot is creative and genre-shifting, continuously bringing new layers into the film.
