this felt like the other strangers films and didn’t really offer much in terms of difference to those. pretty slow paced and didn’t give away anything you actually wanted to know. felt like it shouldn’t have been called “part one” because it kind of gives the characters plot armour from the beginning.

The Fall Guy 2024
this was actually funny and the stunts were super well done. ryan gosling is never not loveable. the aliens looked amazing (well done dad). overall a great popcorn action/comedy that’s a fun watch.

practical effects aliens and physical sets made this film so much better in terms of vibe. very similar to the first atmospheric wise which is great. formula works perfectly and the actors were all great in their performances.

First two acts were solid. Suspense was nice toward the beginning but it was a let down in the last act that teetered on the edge of being cheesy. Didn’t really decide on a specific sub genre of horror and went for two different ones leading to it being a mess in the end. Camera shots and art direction were pleasing. Maika Monroe stood out in her performance and played a really believable, likeable role. Nic Cage was definitely Nic Cage. Prosthetics and character reveal went hard.
